I know South Dakota is a beautiful state...the SW part for sure. Someone said recently that the state is full of casinos and the state has been cheapened. In doing some research I did find LOTS of casinos listed.
Would I be right is still feeling that around the Black Hills and Badlands the scenery is still beautiful and untouched by casinos.

South Dakota is still a beautiful place to visit, all of it. We have been there many times, before they had casinos, as well as afterwards. Have never been in a casino. Thats not the reason we go there.

Gee, it's kind of hard to imagine that a state who's main attraction used to be Wall Drug Store has been "cheapened" by casinos.

But seriously, you can surely look past the casinos at the incredible natural beauty.

We've been there twice. Loved it. Didn't see a single casino either time.

There are casinos but most are on American Indian reservation land. Of course, there's the town of Deadwood, too. I would hardly consider South Dakota to be overrun with casinos--your 'ammunition' is correct.

Sure hope they don't spoil that wonderful folk festival in lovely Sturgis by putting in a casino nearby...
