Yes! Check mysanantonio.com, savisit.com and traveltex.com for information. The Riverwalk has lots of good eating, drinking and music places. There seems to be always a festival or fiesta. If you are going around April 21st, then you get parades, food, drink and fun in La Villita. You have 2 amusement parks, historical sites, missions with Mariachi Mass at Sunday noon (Mission San Jose), museums, park, boat ride, Hill Country up the road about 1 hour and the wildflowers this time of year are absolutely gorgeous. You will not be bored whatever you like.

Yeee hawwww, Agree with Linda and her suggestions.

I went to San Antonio 2x last year. Once for "bidness" and the other for pleasure.

We call it "New Orleans with a river through the middle of it". (Riverwalk)

Great food, bars, music and very nice people. We stayed at The Menger and then the Emily Morgan, both located next door to the Alamo and historic hotels.

Took a side trip out to the Bandera area and fell in love with the location.

But, "fun" being a relative term, I'm sure there will be some disagreements.

Loved seeing the Alamo at night.

I visited twice last year as well and I agree with the other posters. It's actually a PERFECT weekend destination, in my view -- but I wouldn't use much more time than that. Cab fare in from the airport to the Riverwalk is cheap and there are some really nice properties. DO stay in the immediate Riverwalk area at night unless you know your way around San Antonio would be my advice, but I admit to being naturally cautious. It's a good time!

THE BEST!
STAYED AT HAMPTON INN. IT'S NEXT TO DENNY'S. JUST WALK ACROSS THE STREET AND INTO A DEPARTMENT STORE. ON THE MALL SIDE OF THE STORE IS THE RIVERWALK. THE RIVERWALK BOAT RIDE IS VERY NICE AND CHEAP. RIDE THE TROLLEY TO MI TIERA RESTAURANT. DELICIOUS! WE WILL RETURN.

Definitely. And if you want good food info and must do restaurants, check out chowhound.com and the Texas message board. Hope you're not on a diet! Enjoy.
