Is Kapalua, Maui too Windy?

I am planning a trip to the Ritz Carlton in Kapalua in February. Will it be too windy at that time. I have heard that the winds can be pretty fierce. Please advise.

Kapalua is often windier than most parts of Maui.
Hana is often wetter than most parts of Maui.
Kihei is often dryer than most parts of Maui.

But nobody can tell you what the weather will be like in Kapalua or anywhere else next February.

A windy day there is better than anywhere else. Just look for the weather trends and find the best place to be each day.

Kapalua has fantastic weather. Enjoy!

We stayed there one November. I will admit that it does get windy on the beach but it did not make it uncomfortable by any means! I was rather glad to get the breeze after I hiked out to see the Dragon's Teeth...

We had lunch there last April and it was very windy. We were staying at the Hyatt on Kanaapali and although it could be windy it wasn't as bad as the Ritz.

Been there many times over many years and from November thru March I can guarantee wind and rain. Been blasted off the beach at the Ritz 2 Novembers in a row and switched to Wailea...happily! Will not guarantee you never get rain in Wailea the post Christmas weather all over the islands this year was record-bad, but Kapalua area and Kaanapali are the wind and rain belt of eastern Maui.

You can guarantee wind and rain every day in February? Really?

Kapalua and Kaanaplai are in west Maui, not east Maui.

The weather in Kaanaplai is far better than Kapalua and in fact is not a lot different than the weather in Wailea.

We were there in May and did not notice significant winds at the KBH. However, it was extremely windy on the Plantation Golf Course. But at the hotel and the beach right there, it was just lovely and breezy. It could perhaps be more of a problem at the Ritz, I don't know.

Yes, windy, but intolerable, no. I just wrap a towel around my head

I guess I should add that we experienced wind that was so fierce in Dec on the BI that it took down trees. Now that time was much worse that Kapalua wind.
