It is at the end of September. We don't have a lot of time. We plan to do a few scenic drives, shop a little, check out the nearby towns, go to the fan museum, and maybe a few wineries. And of course EAT!!! Any suggestions, comments, must do's?

Eat at Zazu in Santa Rosa. If you can make it to Healdsburg, eat at Scopa and/or check out the craft beer at Bear Republic (or at Lagunitas in Petaluma on the way from SFO). If you can make it to Geyserville, eat at Diavola.
Are there any wineries you're particularly interested in?

Luther Burbank Home and Gardens. We liked it some 5-10 years ago. Right in Santa Rosa.

I'd also check out Francis Ford Coppola's Winery in Geyserville. Lots of memorabilia and a very nice restaurant.

Other nice places include Armstrong Woods (http://www.parks.ca.gov/?page_id=450) and Sonoma Coast State Park (http://www.parks.ca.gov/?page_id=451).
Point Reyes National Seashore is about an hour drive away.

El Coqui Puerto Rican Cuisine
400 Mendocino Ave
Santa Rosa, CA 95401
We ate at a really cool Caribbean restaurant there a couple of years ago. I think this is the one. Maybe others can confirm or give the correct one.
We also enjoyed Point Reyes National Park. They have a historic lighthouse but check for alerts, dates and times as they have limited ones.

Yes, if you have time to drive over to the coast, do it! Here is my trip report, btw. It's very long, for which I apologize.

Thanks ya'll. I knew you'd come through. We plan to drive up Thursday from So Cal, have Friday to explore and then Saturday is the wedding. We have to meet a shuttle in Santa Rosa which will take us to the private vinyard for the event. Probably around 3 or 4, I'm guessing. Then maybe stay Sunday and drive home Monday. Or drive halfway home on Sunday and stay at some mid point (San Luis Obispo maybe, we love it there) and get home on Monday. We are 650 miles from Santa Rosa. We just found out that we might be staying with friends, which will change the course of things considerably.
