INTERISLAND FLIGHTS
I've been checking the cost of interisland flights and they are quire high compared to what we paid last yr. We've been thinking that both flights we were on last yr. in March were less than 1/2 full. Is it just as cheap or cheaper to just book the flights when you're there, even just a couple of days in advance?

Sorry, jumpy. All posts show up in the general US board. Not being a Hawaii fan myself, I never click on Hawaii, and it really didn't occur to me that's what you meant. I think the Lake Erie airline used to even be called "Interisland Airlines" or something like that, so that's what I thought.

There are still $39 (plus tax & fees) flights. You may have to fly the first flight or last flight to get this fare.
Sometimes they are less than that.
Usually someone starts a new thread whenever there is a low fare.
Right now the low fares are through the end of the year.

flew from hilo to maui last weekend for $136 roundtrip on Island Air. Going to Oahu Wed. for $89 round trip on Aloha. Check the websites and you might find some cheap seats, but no real sales going on this month. I think Hawaiian is the only one who ups the price closer to the date of flying. Could be wrong, but whenever I'm going interisland, they seem to be the highest on short notice.
