Inexpensive lodgings in Wailea?, Maui

Charlie, Truly, Wailea is not an "under $100" resort area, as a rule. Your best bet would probably be Ann & Bob Babson's B&B set in the hills above Wailea - you'd need to drive a couple of minutes to the beaches below. Also you could stay on the Kihei/Wailea "line" where the Hana Kai Maui Condos are, for example, with a wonderful beach and walk right into the Wailea Resort. Another thought would be to buy an Entertainment Book, and get into the Palms of Wailea Condos for half- price if you can. Definitely get a room with A/C that time of year in Wailea. It can get real hot! Let me know if I can be of further help! Have a great trip!

Wanted to make a correction to my posting above - The condos on the Kihei-Wailea "line" are "Mana Kai Maui," not "Hana Kai Maui."
Also, "pc", have those condos (Palms at Wailea) changed hands again? I thought they were part of Outrigger? You know the Aston Wailea is now the Outrigger Wailea? I can't keep up!

We are going to Hawaii in September and I found some great deals on condo (not hotel) rentals in the Kihei area. It's not too far from Wailea, I think. Anyway, I found a lot of these at www.vacationspot.com - it's a rental site. There's a lot of information there. Hope this helps!
