In S Utah, rethinking itinerary b/c of Nat'l Parks closures. advice pls?

thanks, folks, for the excellent ideas! We are excited that we have been able to extend our trip 2 days to take advantage of Utah's deal with the National Parks, @utahtea.
While in Moab, we have visited Dead Horse Point State Park (specatcular), Fisher Towers (including a hike there, and yes, the road was delayed with construction but still beautiful), Needles Overlook (which we also loved), and Newspaper Rock. I hope that we'll be able to see some more of the petroglyphs near Moab, @emalloy. We're tucking your suggestion about canyoneering into our next visit file, @spirobulldog. We'll definitely be back, especially when I can handle more vigorous activity.

My husband and I were in southern Utah during the same time that you were. So glad to hear that you enjoyed your time and found plenty of amazing things to see and do despite the park closures. Hope you had a chance to get into a few parks before your trip was over!
