The Waikiki Parc's breakfast was a buffet. I'm sure you can order from the menu, but you might be charged extra for it. We enjoyed the buffet breakfast every morning. The waitstaff was really nice. (Side note: I was a little surprised that even w/ the included breakfasts, many guests did not leave a tip. Given the fact that waitstaff often live on tips, I felt it would be appropriate to leave a few dollars for their excellent service.)
If you walk across the street and through the access path, you'll be right on the beach! Going the other way - it's less than a two-block walk to Kalakaua Avenue, the main drag of Waikiki.
I found the best rate through the internet.
The room at the Waikiki Parc was smaller than my room at the Hawaii Prince, but both were clean, well-kept rooms. They both had refrigerators, which was excellent. Keep in mind, the Waikiki Parc was just remodeled in the past year, so I'm not sure what new changes came in.

Believe me, "j", you should go with the Hawaiian Regent. When you go to a place like Waikiki you WANT to be where all the action is! Those other two hotels aren't near it. Also, when you're standing in the water, turning around and looking at the row of beautiful hotels with Diamond Head in the background -- well, it's quite a sight, belive me! My personal favorite on Waikiki is the Hyatt Regency (also the Kahala and Ihilani when I want more privacy, which, of course, are further away), but since this is probably above your budget you have to exclude it, although you might want to give them a call anyway and see what specials they might be offering. Quite frankly, I would rather have a city or mountain view on a HIGH floor in the Hyatt rather than an ocean view room at any of the three hotels you mentioned as the Hyatt is quite beautiful and the rooms are superior (and it's near all the action, of course)!

A very good friend stayed at the Parc last July, and really liked it. And the hotel is famous for their wonderful buffets - many people make a special trip to eat there, even if they aren't staying there. I think the hotel, decor and service-wise, is very influenced by it's Japanese ownership. Before the latest Japanese money crisis, I know at least half the clientele here was Japanese but I don't think that's true anymore. Anyway, the same company owns the Halekulani across the street, and we all know that's fabulous, if a bit pricier. The Parc is considered their "little sister." Don't think you'd be disappointed!
