There is a man with mental problems that posts here a lot under various aliases (although he prefers ken or keith).
This person clearly is mentally ill. Avoid all posts you see with the subject headers Vegas/strip clubs/ any large USD amount or any other bizarrely titled topic. This person is mentally unbalanced. He even often posts replies to his own posts. He claims he is Irish which he is not (and which is offensive to real Irish people). Don't waste your time with this mentally disturbed loser.

What's the harm of reading his postings? Short of annoying us over having wasted our time replying to him, he can't do anything to us. I read a posting that I guess was a spoof of his "style", and I was amazed at the backlash that it got.

When I first saw this nuts postings, I felt as you do that there was no harm in reading them. However, I later realized that this guy is also giving advice and recommendations to travelers that do not realize he is a flake. Also, the later postings were getting really raunchy, and Fodor's has eliminated them from the Bulletin Board. I guess we all contribute to his lunacy when we respond, but the thought of someone actually taking advice from this guy is s c a r y!!!!

Agree that these posts should receive NO RESPONSE. I've read them by accident, but have sort of learned how to recognize them. Am glad someone at Fodor's finally removed them. Responses, no matter how meaningful or clever only enourage additional posts. So, think we should all just ignore them. Writer will most likely try somewhere else for responses.

I agree with the past two posts. This trouble maker also posts to legitimate posts as a reply thus leading people astray, so it isn't all harmless fun. He has a post now listed under the alias John Holmes (the notorious porno star) and people are responding, which is just what this mental case wants. You find them all over usenet groups. It just too bad one gets his sick jollys here now. And why he seeks to delude people into believing he is Irish is another nasty thing he does. He has gotten quite a few innocent people buying his BS......no doubt he really enjoys that. He's just a sicko.

If you believe in free speech even the kooks have rights. The Internet is quite democratic and all have the right to speak and all have the right to ignore the speaker.

There is not a huge amount of traffic on this site and seems like someone at Fodors should be checking every couple of days for ANY worthless requests & comments and simply delete them (maybe they should delete mine.) This is not an issue of free speech but, one of doing good business. Fodor's put this here as a advertisment of thier services. And just as you have no right to go into someones store and start preaching the gospel to everyone that walks through the door, this guy has no right to have his writings posted.I haven't been to this site for a few weeks now and I can't believe this guy is still screwing around in here and people are actually answering his topics. This is a great place to give and get advice, I hope it stays that way.
