But here's a strong recommendation to those who see something seriously objectionable on the thread list: DON'T post anything there. Complain to Fodor's list keeper (see FAQ's) or ignore it altogether. But every time you respond, you feed the offender's craving for attention AND you keep the offensive post up in front of all of us.

I for one am grateful to Topper, because there was one really offensive posting over this last weekend and people kept responding, which just brought it up to the top again. I hope Fodors has removed it. I can't believe how some people like to post such disgusting things just to bug other people.

And anyway, I didn't think there was any opinion or craziness about what Topper said. Just a suggestion.

I think Toppers is doing everyone a great service in making this announcement. If it werent for them, I never would have realized that people would keep reading posts that are on the top of the list. My virgin ears are ring a linging every time I read those nasty posts and I cant stand it! I'm going to STOP posting replies to those mean spirited messages and then they will go away forever! Thanks again Toppers!

I agree so much I'll even sign my real name. I've found that it helps to respond to messages below the offensive post -- that pushes it further down.
