If you had your choice of vacations places where would you go?
If you could go anywhere in the United States including Hawaiin and Alaska. Where would you go on vacation to and why would you pick that Destination???

Depends on what I'm in the mood for.
1) city life -- New York city
2) quiet, romantic getaway -- a B&B near a trail
3) wilderness & beauty -- Alaska
4) natural beauty -- California Sierras, or Yellowstone, or Utah
5) day hiking -- Shenandoah
And, as noted above, the time of year makes a BIG difference. Glacier National Park is a great place to go for natural beauty, but I wouldn't go there in February.

Spring: Yosemite to see the waterfalls
Summer: Alaska to see wildlife, wilderness and scenery
Fall: Yellowstone and all the National Parks in Utah because I love the scenery and hiking
Hawaii is the only state I haven't been too, so I'd like to go and it looks like winter time is open!

Since you kindly didn't impose a limit, I'll list several choices, and they're all mainly because I've never been there....
The Southeastern US in the spring.
Alaska in the summer.
The Florida Keys in the winter.
New England in the fall.

Shoulder season in Alaska, or Bar Harbor area. I would take a little more cold over crowds. Why - because they both look beautiful. I lived in Hawaii; I prefer the Caribbean, more character and clearer warmer water, though I do miss the seafood.
