Ideas for Large Family Reunion in Northeast USA

We are looking for places to stay for a large family reunion (40 people) in the Northeast that is moderately priced for Summer 2022. A beautiful location is important. Some place that is within an hour of a major airport and we like having kitchenettes. We do not want to camp. We are planning four nights, so we can;t stay at places that require a week stay.

We have spent hours searching and have only found places that are too expensive, too rustic or not available. Monhonk Mountain House is too expensive. Seaside Cottages Cape Cod would work, but it is not available for our large group.

We would be grateful for ideas.
Thanks,

Molly

If you want a place where all of you stay at the same property, you could look at places like the Red Jacket Inn or Resort or the Blue Water Inn on Cape cod. These will not be cheap, but might accommodate a group that large.

Another idea would be to look on line for places in an area like the Cape for a house with a large yard or beach front or a nearby park where you could all get together perhaps with a caterer providing food. The house could be the central gathering place with the “hosts” staying there and have others stay at hotels/motels/B&B/inns that fit the budget. You might find hotels that would give you a lower cost for a block of rooms. There are beautiful beaches north of Boston too, Cranes, Wingaershiek, etc.

You might try this place. I stayed there a couple of nights years ago and it was fine. You're going to have a problem renting a place for forty -- and rentals run seven days, Saturday to Saturday -- so motel units like this might make sense. Crow's Nest Properties

You could look at some of the large hotels that can accommodate events. For example The Grand Hotel in Cape May, NJ. or Gurney's in Montauk NY. or one of many hotels in The Poconos PA.
