This only half counts, since it hasd US and Canadian side, but I vote for Niagara Falls. It was even too tacky for my kids!

Branson, Mo. and Gatlinburg, TN have to be the two biggest tourist traps in the U.S.!

For the cheesiest place in the world you don't have to go anywhere. Just stay home!

Cherokee, NC. Nothing like watching the guy 'chiefing' it up (dancing in the street) The tacky tourist shops and all the other stuff I've tried to forget.

Gatilinburg, Tenn. (the other side of the Great Smokies National Park) is also a tourist trap.

South of the Border isn't as big as Cherokee/Gaitlinburg, but it might be the tackiest per square inch place around.

That would be The Mystery Spot in the U.P. of Michigan. On the way north make sure you stop for a "FREE VISIT" to Sea Shell City. T's' nothing more than a cruddy gift shop. They advertise The Giant Man-Killing Clam!!!! though.

Obviously many of you don't know the definition of "cheesy." It's okay, old timers, but you'd better let the people under 35 handle this one.

Williamsburg is NOT cheesy. Neither is San Francisco, for heavens sake.

Gatlinburg IS cheesy. As is Panama City Beach, Florida.

The most cheesy tourist destination, in my opinion, is Graceland, but the original questioner has already been there.

Also any NASCAR event is a good cheesy festival of tackiness.

Where can you go, RLeone? How about the strip on Panama City Beach? VERY cheesy, as are the cheese nightclubs Spinnaker & La Vela. My college friends and I have done "cheese" night at these two clubs. Much fun.

The big Sartre question: If you're knowingly at a cheese destination to enjoy the cheesiness, does that make you cheesy??

My vote's for South of the Border, S.C., most definitely!!!
And, no, I don't think visiting a place you know is cheesy makes you necessarily a cheesy person. Just means you recognize and enjoy a bit of cheesiness every now and again.
Been to Wall Drug, S.D. also, but it's not nearly as cheesy as South of the Border.

South of the Border, Dillon, SC. This is the most horrible place on earth. Pick it and you will NEVER be asked to organize a trip for your friends again!!

I am indeed overwhelmed by the cheesy locations I can cheese (er, choose)from. You are all a big help because our annual trips are turning into a huge competition in the group.
I guess we appreciate a little cheese once in a while. We don't mock those who enjoy going to these places while visiting (o.k. maybe we do a little), we just have a lot of great memories seeing something not in our normal choice of activity.
Please keep 'em coming and I really appreciate your replies.

Another vote for Wall Drug.
(You can see the interesting Badlands too while you're there, for a little non-cheese moment.)

Don't think this has been listed yet:
ATLANTIC CITY, NEW JERSEY!

Think Old Ladies with raspy voices from smoking a pack a day, with BIG hair, stretch pants and plastic cups of coins!

CHEESE GALORE!
