Hyatt Regency in Kauai.......anyone been there?
Help! I have to make a decision on weather we will stay at the Hyatt in Kauai. We are going for our honeymoon in June and are looking for the perfect place. I hear the Hyatt is great and I am getting ready to book!
Any information would be great!

Hi Sarah,
if I would marry - it would also the
Hyatt Kauai. Have been there - it is the right island and the right hotel.
Everything is open, the rooms spacious and after a very very short while, you really feel relaxed.
I live in germany but our destination for marriage would be one of those hotels in the next two years:
Four Seasons Big Island
Kea Lani Maui
Hyatt Kauai
So, these three no others. Have been already three times there and stayed at several other locations such as
Hilton Waikoloa, Royal Waikoloa,
(Big Island)
Marriott Kaanapali Coast
Westin Kaanapali Coast
Kea Lani Weilea
(Maui Island)
Hilton Hawaiian Village(Alii Tower)
Outrigger Reef on the Beach
Hyatt Waikkiki
(Oahu Island)
Radisson(former outrigger) Kauai Beach
Plantation Hale Suites
Kauai Marriott Resort
(Kauai)
So our fourth time will bring us definitely to Hyatt as I have checked this and the others too.
Alternative would be Lanai -but not really.
Congratulations and if you need more infos email me.

Sarah, my husband and I stayed at the Hyatt in Kauai in September 2001. The hotel grounds are beautiful, you won't believe the pool area. We thought the rooms were nice, but nothing spectacular(we had a partial ocean view room). I wouldn't pay extra for the ocean view, because the hotel sits back from the ocean and the beach in front of the Hyatt isn't really that scenic. Plus, the pool area is so gorgeous, the lagoon view room is enough. Make sure you have dinner at Tidepools one night and make time for the spa. Congratulations!

We went to Tidepools and though the ambiance is good the food is just so so and quite expensive. For the same money go to the Beach House for a really good meal and a beautiful view of the sunset.
The Hyatt grounds are beautiful and it is a very large facility.
