Here in mid-Michigan we're suffering through an ice storm. Have been since last night, and the next two days are suppose to be the same! Up near the Mackinac Bridge, where my daughter lives, snow started yesterday and by 10 p.m. last night, they had almost 18 inches and still snowing. And this is April! Ah spring, where are you?

Here in Midtown Manhattan....it's gray, the air is moist and cold...really miserable. I don't think we are ever getting Spring. It'll be 2 weeks of Spring and then straight to Summer, ugh.

Besides intermittant rain, we are usually mostly sunny and in the 60's-70's here on the Central California Coast (San Luis Obispo County), occasionally in the 80's (like last week). The hills have been green since November, and wildflowers and flowering trees have been blooming since about February. The California poppies are just starting. Best time here is fall and spring. I don't look forward to the cool, and often gray weather in the summer when my mind is telling me it should be warm and sunny. Because of our mild year-round weather, plants (plants blooming/growing leaves/shedding leaves at odd times) and animals (my dogs don't know when to shed/grow their "Winter" coat). I'm grateful for not having to deal with harsh weather on a regular basis, but sometimes we travel somewhere else so we can feel and see the seasons.

Nice and sunny in financial area of San Francisco. Not for long, they said. I refuse to believe it may rain tonight - after all, it's Friday! I want a dry weekend! I demand a dry weekend!

And Yosemite is not getting warmer Can't wait to go there!

Buffalo Girl: We're leaving for Florida in 2 weeks too! We'll be in the keys April 13-24. It's everyone's first time to Florida; we are really looking forward to exploring a new (to us) region of the US. I've been checking the weather and its been nice..... Where are you heading in Florida?

SloPugs: We're heading to Sanibel Island. It's been a long, cold winter here, and I can't wait to step off the plane and feel the warmth of the Florida sun. Have fun on your trip to Key West!

P.S. It's been a few hours since my first post, and I can still hear the freezing rain pounding my windows!

I live in SW PA and it will be 56 tomorrow. It has been 60s and 70s mostly. At least there is a Spring this year. For the last three years it has been 40s and 50s through mid-May and then 85 degrees. I like easing into hot weather.

Snow, sleet and freezing rain for the second day in a row here in central Wisconsin. The Florida beach is still three weeks away for us (but we probably couldn't have flown out of here easily today anyway!)

Jack, we're bad with the metric system here in the U.S., but if 100 cm is a meter and a meter is a little over 39 inches, then 25 cm HAS to be a little less than 10 inches which is less than one foot. That said, it's April and that still stinks!

I just drove home through freezing rain after helping my mother MOVE. Double bummer. The trees were hanging over the road laden with ice. I am in Sarnia, a small town in SW Ontario, Canada.

Huge freakin' hail here in Dallas. Screwed up two of our cars and possibly our house. We'll have to wait for daylight to see it all.
The worst hail I have ever seen personally... baseball and softball size. How's that for *&$#@@%&d up weather!
