How's the shopping in Tucson?
Other than a Sacks 5th outlet, any upscale stores? Brooks Brothers? Any good places for a tourist to pick up home decor--like a small antique or SW furniture, etc?

Is this the Ira I know from the France forum? I'm laughing. I want someplace to shop while my husband rents a Harley. How could you do this to me?! The man is a hat nut! He has tons of hats! Do you live in AZ. I haven't been through Tucson since 1972, so am pretty blank on it.

Yes, La Encantada is upscale and very nice....but, when you are a tourist somewhere, why would you want to go to a store that you can go to in any other city? Don't tell me you'll be eating at the Olive Garden, as well.
Try the Lost Barrio area in Tucson for some funky southwest gifts/items. There are some nice, small boutique stores in St. Phillips Plaza on Campbell/River. Que Bonita is a cool SW store at Tanque Verde/Sabino Canyon. Dry Heat Trading Company on Fourth Ave as well as at Trail Dust town on Tanque Verde is a pretty interesting store. 4th Ave as a whole has some unique, interesting stores. Try something new!

Tucsonartist, thanks, that was the kind of info I was looking for. However, where I live I'm about 1500 miles from the nearest Pottery Barn or Crate and Barrel so even though I get their catalogs, those are fun to walk through too.
