>>Left a pillow with a colored pillowcase covering it LeeAnn??<<
Yes, in Monterey last year.
I use one of those special pillows my chiropractor recommended; I bring it on road trips, but I wouldn't pack it for a plane flight.

I try to pack light so I don't have a lot to look for or a lot to lose. I DO like to unpack. Things to be hung, get hung (there's not much so everything fits on 3-4 hangers); things for a drawer go in only one drawer. Dirty sox/undies go into a mesh bag in suitcase. Sleepwear is either on my bod or folded over the top of suitcase. Toiletry bag stays in the bathroom, open, on the counter. Toothbrush/toothpaste stands in a glass next to bag. The only toiletry item I've come close to leaving is my scrubby "pouf" but the ziploc bag I pack it in is always in the toiletry bag so if I have an empty bag I know to check. Any toiletry that I ccan't replace easily/quickly (i.e. perfume or razor) stays in the toiletry bag and gets put back after use. Souvenirs go directly into suitcase until time to repack for dearture.
When repacking for leaving, I check my 3 spots - closet, 1 drawer and bath counter. I pull back the bedcovers and organize everything on the white sheets. Things stand out and there's plenty of room.
