How Much Hawaii?
My son has just graduated from college and before he settles down to a "real" job he intends to go to Hawaii and work on an organic farm. He will be flying from Seattle to Honolulu sometime between Feb. and March. He wants to purchase tickets now. Best fares on Expedia and Orbitz are with Northwest at around $475 RT. They quickly go up to $600-$700 dollars on other carriers He thinks that they will keep going up. I told him that there are usually fare sales right after New Years. Is $475 a good fare? Any thoughts on fare sales after New Years?

www.hawaiianair.com/reservations/
shows a sale of $459 1/8 through 3/12.
Suggest you also check out Aloha airlines website.

it is supply and demand- in the summer you can get fares for $250-$350 r/t but in the winter prices climb.
i would suggest he go to a council travel type agent normally associated with youth fares and other deals.
when i was his age i saved a lot of $$ on my flights with them.
