How many days in Death Valley and Sequoia?

How many days should we plan to be in Death Valley and Sequoia? There is about a 6 hour ride between these two parks. Thanks.

We spent 2 nights in Death Valley, 3 nights in Yosemite followed by 1 night in Sequoia in April when there was lots of snow everywhere (not Death Valley).

Not all facilities are open in Sequoia NP during the month of May. We were there on a Memorial Day weekend, and some campgrounds were still closed. 2 nights should be a minimum in my opinion, three would be better if interested in taking some of the longer walks. Where do you plan to stay when visiting the park?
