i flew into ontario last week on thurs aft to go to indian wells, and left on sunday. traffic on sunday was much better than thurs aft.

My mom lived in PD and it is a great place and in February it will be a great place to spend the winter.

ONT is a small airport and very easy to get around. The rental car set up is one of the best I have ever seen at any airport.

Even during the commute hours you will be out of the grid lock shortly after leaving the airport.

Also look at Burbank, it is a major SWA hub, but will be a little more in the gridlock than ONT.

However, if you are getting in between 1100 AM and 3:00 PM it shouldn't be that bad if it is much cheaper.
