How do we get to other islands?

If we choose to stay on one island, but would like to visit another one, how do we get from one to the other? I presume one would be by plane, but are there boats that can take you? Also, about how much does this cost? Thanks

Well you can take a boat from Maui to Lanai or Molokai but the usual transport between islands is by air. Aloha and Hawaiian airlines fly between all the islands and the one way ticket price is usually between $60 & $70.

Though you didn't mention which islandf I assumed that you meant Hawaii.

we used frequent flyer miles for Hawaiian inter-island hops (5000 miles per hop). In our case it was United miles on Aloha. Aloha and Hawaiian have frequent inter-island flights.

If we were staying on Maui and wanted to go to Molokini or Lanai, can you just take a boat to the islands to tour around and what are the prices for that?

Two years ago I believe we paid $25 per person one way from Maui (Lahaina Harbor) to Lanai by ferry. Don't know about Molokai.
