How do I get tickets for Met Opera?

I am visiting New York next weekend (first time)and would love to catch a performance at the Met. Looking through their website, I realised that tickets for all performances that week were sold out. How do I get hold of a pair of tickets without resorting to touts?

It's simple: Call the box office (212-362-6000)! It's questionable, however, what's available. I'd call right away. If you can't get Met tickets, the New York City Opera season is also currently on at Lincoln Center (Ticketmaster--212-307-4100--or visit its website at www.nycopera.com

Depending on where you're staying, the concierge "may" be able to help w/the Met. Also consider the NYC Opera at Lincoln Center www.nycopera.com
