How do I get Superbowl Tickets?

Hello. Can anyone tell me how I go about getting tickets to the Superbowl? It doesn't have to be for this year, but just in general. How does a person purchase tickets? I appreciate any advice you can offer, as I am unsure of where to start.

Doesn't the NFL have a website?? Surely they would have info there.

We went to the super bowl last year. One thing that surprised me was that there were a number of EMPTY seats near us---and we were in a prime location on the 50 yard line about 20 rows up. A man was also there with his 2 year old son---he lived in Atlanta and had gotten tickets from his place of work. He really didn't care about the game, but thought he shouldn't miss the experience. I don't know how you go about uncovering these unused tickets, but if you have connections with businesses (large firms--real estate, construction, law) in the city where the super bowl is---could be a prime source for tickts.

I went to Super Bowl XXX in Tempe and had a completely different experience than Joni (above). We found that scalpers were wanting at least double face value and heard they only dropped prices to face value late in the 3rd quarter. It's a long story but we paid a vendor $100 bucks each (three of us) for vendor passes. Obviously no seat was assigned so we were forced to scour for any available seat. My wife and I were were able to find 2 seats together in the top section and my brother (the 3rd person in party) was never able to find one. However, with our vendor passes we/he was able to go into restricted areas and met Spike Lee and Troy Aikman's mom. It might have been extremely crowded as we like lot's of other folks love to see the Cowboy's play football. I believe last years game had a very low TV rating due to it being the Rams and Titans. Good luck!
