Hotel Suggestions for Vancouver

Vancouver seems to be a busy city. My husband and I are taking a five day trip to Vancouver in late April. We are looking for a nice hotel in a centrally located part of town. Room service is a must! Any suggestions? This is our first trip away from our children in several years.

From what I've been told, the Four Seasons and Sutton Place are the nicest hotels in Vancouver. We have reservations at the Four Seasons for our upcoming trip. Both take the Entertainment Card for a 50%25 discount.

Another vote for the Four Seasons Hotel in Vancouver. In my view, the best hotel in town with it's unparalleled service, large and comfortable rooms and great location. Can't beat it! Enjoy your Vancouver respite . . . it's such a special place.

I was born and raised in Vancouver and I also have driven tour bus here occasionally.
There are many good hotels here, but how close to central Vancouver do you want to be? Will you have transportation and be able to drive in to save $$$?
How much do you want to spend?
If money is no particular problem and you are looking for a higher quality hotel that is located right downtown then I would recommend the Four Seasons, Sutton Place, Pan Pacific, Waterfront Hotel, or Hotel Vancouver (nice but older). If you would like to be closer to Stanley Park then the Bayshore is the best.
If you would like a nice but less expensive (perhaps not right downtown) hotel then you can contact me.

Vancouver is lovely in April! I am a first time user of this program and also cannot type. But, I do live in Vancouver and am very familiar with what the city has to offer. My husband and I know most of therestaurants [oops!] and places to stay.He is in the film industry and I am a lawyer, so wwe end up at alot of functions ands stuff.Let me know how much you want to spend because that dictates the available hotels etc.

My husband, sister, brother in law and self spent several days in Vancouver August '97. We had a suite at the Pan Pacific Hotel. Rooms were absolutely the most luxurious that we have had. Contemporary style, very comfortable, orchids on down pillows and comforters. I'm sure individual rooms would be just as lovely. A friend had stayed in a single room overnight and felt it was most impressive. It was most interesting to watch the Alaskan cruise ships arriving below us. For top notch accomodations and great service, do try it!

The Hotel Vancouver is our absolute favourite hotel to stay at when we visit the city. It is an older but quite classy hotel in a neighbourhood where the stores are great and room service is really fantastic.
