Hotel Rouge in DC for a weekend?

Hotel Rouge in DC for a weekend?
My wife and I are looking for a getaway weekend in Washington DC. I've mulled over old posts on all the hotels it seems and then I stumbled upon Hotel Rouge. Looks pretty groovy... Anyone stayed there? 4 star? 5 star? Is the location ok? Any help would be great. Thanks!

There was an article in the Washington Post last Thursday on both the Hotel Rouge and the Topaz http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn...2002Jan16.html

I haven't been in, but its supposed to be nice. The location is good, about 4 blocks from Dupont Circle Metro and dining, 1 block from 17th Street dining/bars, and about 1 mile or so from the White House.

The location is excellent, near Metro, Dupont Circle, restaurants, clubs, galleries, everything. The hotel is chic, trendy and newly renovated. It's NOT cookie cutter, like a chain hotel.
