Hello, My husband and I are traveling to Vegas for the first time in a few weeks. We'll have a car for one day, and plan to visit Hoover Dam and Valley of Fire. Since we'll have the car for 24 hours, I was thinking that perhaps we should try to work in a tour of the Neon Museum at the end of the day.

Should we do HD first and then VOF? Should we plan to hit up Boulder City between destinations for lunch? Our car rental starts at 8:30 am and we plan to hit the road as soon as we can.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

VOF will be HAH*. I'd do that first thing in the morning if you plan on doing any hiking or even just short walks, then go to Hoover Dam. Temps will still be hot at Hoover Dam but at least you'll be inside for much of it.

Make tour reservations for Hoover Dam, those times may dictate your schedule for the day. I would not drive out there just to see the exterior, the tour is good
