Hoop De Doo Review at Disney World

We are going to WDW in mid-March and have also made reservations at the Hoop De Doo Review (6 adults, 1 baby). Is it worth the money??? Also, we're staying at Caribbean Beach Resort. Is that a good place?? Please respond. It's been YEARS since we've been to WDW (early 1980's). We need advice! Thanks

Our family saw hoop-de-doo review a couple of years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. A fun, fast moving musical, we felt worth the price of the tickets. Price included dinner which was better than we had anticipated. Chicken, barbeque, corn on cob type food but very good. You will be assigned to a table. Ours was in the back because we didn"t order tickets very far in advance.Sounds as if you all wil have a table much closer to the stage and that will be good since there is interaction between the audience and the performers. I don't have any info on where you will be staying. Perhaps someone else can elp there. Check the weather before you go. I live in FL and this week we are experiencing cold weather. Orlando can be cool in mid-march but most likely the weather will be fine. Have fun!!!

Definitely check out Deb Wills' unofficial guide site at www.wdwig.com. You can do the 'baby swap' on most rides - one adult can wait with baby at area you get on ride, as soon as other adult returns you 'swap' the baby and second adult rides, saves time waiting in line. Just ask the cast members at the ride entrance how you can do baby swap. If your tickets include Pleasure Island admission, you can also take baby to some of the clubs. When my youngest was 7 months we went to the Adventurer's Club at Pleasure Island, & the cast members really made over her. There was lots of fun stuff in there for her to look at too! Have fun!

We went to the Hoop De Doo about ten years ago and we still talk about it. It was very corny and hokey but loads of fun for the whole family--very upbeat and enjoyable. I highly recommend it. It's all-you-can-eat so bring an appetite. Have fun.

I've stayed at Caribbean Beach twice and loved it! The one thing that we really liked was that even though it is large, it is very peaceful. We didn't feel overwhelmed by people. There is a great pool there for kids, as well as paddle boats that you can rent. Email me if you want more info. Have fun!

My husband and I went to the hoop de doo review 2 years ago and enjoyed it. I would reccomend it highly. The food is suprisingly good, my husband still talks about how much he ate that night. We also stayed at the Caribbean Beach resort, and I would reccomend that also. The room we had was large and clean. The food court had a good selection, and the beach-like atmosphere was very pretty. Have a great trip.

I agree with the above posters, it is really quite fun. My fiancee and I went last year, and sat right in front of the stage. (My sister works at Disney, and made early reservations for us) He loved the country style food, bbq ribs & strawberry shortcake especially. It also includes all the beer or wine you can drink if you'd like to imbibe at all. I was pulled up on stage to do a can-can number which we will never forget. I've only been to that resort at night, so I didn't get a good look at the grounds or swimming area. But the lobby and food court are very festive and colorful. The food court there is great, it should save you some money, if you have a few dinners there rather than at the sit down full service restauarnts on proiperty. If the weather cooperates and you are at all adventurous, I'd recommend a trip to Blizzard Beach, my favorite Disney water park. We also love strolling the Boardwalk at night, where you can watch the fireworks from Epcot Center, swing at the Atlantic Dance Hall, or watch dueling pianos at Jellyrolls. It seems much more family oriented than Pleasure Island, if that's the atmosphere you're looking for. Enjoy!
