Honolulu GTG August 11--Bon Dance Time
It's bon dance season! A few of us will be going to the Shingon Mission bon dance on Saturday, August 11, about 5 or 6 p.m. The parking is kinda tight, so you can park in the HMSA building--make sure you get validated at the bon dance.

Dinner is probably going to be at KAI, an okonomiyaki place in the area (behind Wal Mart). Keep watching this space for details.

We'll be needing some excitement after 2 weeks of boredom on Kaua'i. Let us know when to expect the Mini Cooper Bon Dance express shuttle. \/

How much and how often should one tip the Mini Cooper BonDance Express shuttle driver? And should you tip more if the top's down?

I was reminded of this last night when I met a guy from California who did not even know what a bon dance was! Bill...Martin...prepare to wear a hachimaki....
