Hofbrauhaus in Vegas

Has anyone been here? Did they get it "right" or should we skip it? We were in Munich last year for Oktoberfest and it would be fun if this was a good reminder of that. Thanks!

Haven't been myself but a friend told me it was full of loud, drunk Americans.

At least they got that part right I guess.

If you want to relive your Munich experience you may be a little dissapointed.
Having said that I do enjoy the place. It looks much the same on the inside as the Munich version. The food is somewhat different but the beer's the same.

Thanks, I think we'll definitely stop by. The website claims the pretzels and roasted nuts are from Germany, and I hope so. I can get German beer here, but not those things.

And the drunk Americans I'm sure will make it feel more real. Although when we were there it was wall to wall drunk Aussies!

We ate there during our trip this past June, food was surprisingly good and reasonable for Vegas. Portions were huge and the pretzels were great. We've been to the one in Germany, this is a bit different, but if you enjoy the music (shoeblatters, et al) and a lively atmosphere, you'll like this. FYI, we split a dinner and still could not finish all.

Ooh, thank you. It's exactly what I was hoping it was then! Vegas really IS the adult Disney World isn't it? I think the meals will be too heavy to have while we're there but definitely some snacks. I don't think I can do much walking if I'm all full of shnitzel!!! Me, my sister and a nephew have all been at the one in Munich within the last year and it will be too funny to send them pictures of us at this one.

Where is this? I've been to Vegas several times but have never run across the Hofbrauhaus.

DH and I went to the one in Munich last April.

It's on Paradise Road. We stayed at the Amerisuites right next door one night last summer. I thought the food and beer were ok. There were lots of sing alongs and contests (which woman from a group of women who volunteered from the restaurant "audience" could chug a beer first, etc.)
The slogan is "every day's like Oktoberfest"
