Hiking Trails within 30 minutes of Williamsburg

We live in Williamsburg and love to hike and bike. We typically walk the trails in College Woods, Freedom Park and New Quarter Park. Would love to get some new ideas of trails in our area.

Cheers

I live in Virginia Beach and we love to go to Waller Mill Park in Williamsburg- its a municipal park but has a few good easy hiking trails as well as boat/canoe/kayak rentals for the lake. I also enjoy York River State Park.

Hey there Wees...I second the suggestion for York River State Park. Also the Greensprings hiking trail near Jamestown HS combined with the bike trail up to the Chickahominy. Chippokes in Surry also has some nice trails. All are good for hiking, some parts better mountain or hybrid bikes than road bikes.

I love the Taskinas Creek trail in YRSP. It isn't very long but the views over the creek are gorgeous.
I use these two web sites:

The loop at Jamestown NP is fun to bike. There are some short trails that go off from it.
