Help with West Palm Beach Trip
Hi there,
I was hoping someone could help with a bit of itinerary help for a girls trip (12 girls, ages late 20's - early 30's) from toronto to west palm in july.
We arrive late afternoon on thurs and will be leaving sunday morning. We have accomodations, on N Ocean Blvd (quite north), and will be renting vehicles.
Nightlife
- found a some club listings for ones on clematis (Roxy's and Nobles) and in cityplace. which ones would you recommend for a mixed crowd and mix of music? we will probably be booking a booth/table.
- also thought about booking a show at the Improv club
- any recommendations on patio bar?
Brunch/Dinner
- any recommendations?
Shopping
- Cityplace
- Sawgrass Mills ...would it be worth the drive?
- any other outlet shopping?
Beaches
- Lake Worth Beach
- Lantana Beach
- Deerfield Beach
Any other ideas for activities?
Thanks much!

We lived in northern Palm Beach County for years. Love the area but I've been gone for a while so I apologize if any of my suggestions are out of date.
Don't know about the club scene.
The beaches in Jupiter are great.
The Gardens Mall in Palm Beach Gardens is very nice and not far from you. I highly recommend it.
John G's. is a popular brunch place in Lake Worth. It's on the beach, lines can be out the door.

If you want a quiet beach or a day to enjoy some nature the John D. MacArthur Beach state park is great. One of our favorite places. I think it's about $4.00 a car to park there.
It has a wonderful boardwalk along the estuary, a nature center, and a beautiful, unspoiled beach.
Just a thought if you need a break from the nightlife and crowded beach scene.

Are you staying on Singer Island? If so that is on the beach. There is not a lot to do for your age group there. Miami Beach or even Ft. Lauderdale is more of a scene are with clubs/restaurants though July is quieter. There are bars/restaurants on Clematis Street and City Place that are fun.
Enjoy

If you hit LW beach, dine at John G breakfast or lunch.
If you hit Lantana beach, dine at Dune Deck breakfast or lunch.
Shopping, City place is nice with evening outside music too, pleasant. A bit of everything there, cool ice cream shop to night clubs. Recommend it.
Shopping, Sawgrass is a 40 minute easy drive but a huge mall that is packed with people, chaos. Worth the drive if you want to spend a full day of shopping.
For a bit of local history about the area, I recommend a couple hours at the Flagler Museum, lovely and interesting.
Take a drive through Palm Beach and along A1A. Even a walk along Worth Ave is nice, it won't take you long but fun to peek at.

Thank you for your suggestions! Will definitely keep them in mind when planning.
Quieter beaches would be preferred
And the brunch recommendations are great.
The girls are not partiers by any means, but I was hoping to have one night of going out to a bar/lounge.
Thanks again!

You really need to say where you're staying. If on Singer Island, there's sunset celebration & art show on Thurs. nights. There's also a sightseeing cruise from there

and I think that same co. has water taxi service to West Palm.
Go to Delray Beach one night for dinner. The main st. (Atlantic Ave.) has one restaurant after another. I've had brunch at a place there on the intracoastal that was pretty good.
Good info here
