It would be useful to know what month and if the $1500 is all inclusive - air for both as well as accommodations and other expenses. Are you averse to leaving the US?

I'd drive down to the Florida panhandle, get a rental and enjoy the white sugar sand beaches. It's about an 11 hour drive.

SL to Orlando is $155 round trip on Frontier. Rent a car and head for one of the coasts. We don't know you're dates so no idea what availability and pricing is looking like.

I think Starrs has it. NOT Florida east coast for me!! West coast could be nice, but the panhandle beaches are close and pretty.
SL is a big hub--maybe a good price to a lot of places but once you are there gotta rent a car--more expense. Just a thought.
