I'd drive down to the Florida panhandle, get a rental and enjoy the white sugar sand beaches. It's about an 11 hour drive.

I think Starrs has it. NOT Florida east coast for me!! West coast could be nice, but the panhandle beaches are close and pretty.
SL is a big hub--maybe a good price to a lot of places but once you are there gotta rent a car--more expense. Just a thought.
