im 20 years old currently and have been thinking of going to myrtle beach either this year or next and cant decide. but most importantly what is there to do for someone my age. i dont need hotel info because i work for a hotel so i have a place to stay but i dont know squat about the area for things to do or when is a good time to go...i really dont want to run into spring break kids or kids out from graduation...ive heard it can be a hectic time to go when they are there....
any suggestions please let me know

Went to Myrtle Beach last summer, it's a resort town with lots of beach and "boardwalk" with lots to do. I sent for info before our trip (didn't get it in time) but since then I've been getting updates - I think they're called Myrtle Beach Live or something like that. We enjoyed our week there (in a timeshare) but I'm twice your age with a family so I'm sure your interests are different. I must say I was somewhat disappointed by what I saw, it's not as nice as I had been told.

We're planning a trip there in a couple of months. The info we have received shows that it is very commercialized and is a vacation-mega. There are alot of live shows, dinner shows, golf, water activities, etc. Check out Midieval Times with knights and jousting tournaments. Have been to Myrtle last 6 yrs and it is fast growing. Superb choice of golf courses, long sandy beaches that can get crowded. Best time to avoide crowds is early (to mid June) and late (early Sept).
We continue to get better food and accomodations for less than we paid 6 yrs ago in Wildwood area. We like to golf, spend lots of time on beach and sample hundreds of great eating spots. I'd avoid downtown and (more commercial) and go to north Myrtle (we like Windy Hill area). Great mini golf all around.
You need a car to get around. Best route in is from NorthCarolina to avoid huge inflow along traditional routes. We are not experts on the night life though.

WE WERE IN MYRTLE BEACH THIS PAST JULY AND I FOUND THE PLACE RATHER FILTHY MEANING THE WATER, BOARDWALK AREA, SAND(TRASH). WE WILL NOT GO BACK AGAIN BUT MAY TRY NORTH MYRTLE BEACH IN THE FUTURE. HEAR THAT AREA IS MORE CONDOS RATHER THAT HOTELS. FLORIDA BEACHES AND HILTON HEAD IN S.C. ARE MUCH NICER AND NOT THAT MUCH FARTER OF A DRIVE SOUTH!
