Help! Proposing in Napa! Where to go?

First let me state that I know how and when I'm going to pop the big question... I just don't know WHERE. My girlfriend and I will be in San Fran and Napa for a week and I'm picturing a very scenic place (winery) with no people around to make a marriage proposal. I have never been out west and would love advice from you on where the "perfect" place would be. Any recommendations? Any suggestions on a limo service with Rolls Royce's or Mercedes that can chauffeur us on this special day? Thank you for your suggestions and happy traveling.

I can't think of a more romantic place than Domaine Chandon in Yountville. www.chandon.com Take a glass of their best bubbly out on the grounds and pop the question there!

A special dinner at Bistro Jeanty would make for some wonderful memories. (If she says yes, of course!) LOL Good Luck! **kim***

Have you considered the coast at all?

The russian river area near Sonoma is beautiful. In Jenner theres a beach/park called goatrock. Its right where the russian river flows in into the pacific. Seals playing in water. Unbelievable views. You could than pop over to Korbel in Sonoma for a champagne celebration when she says yes.

In the grounds of the Château Montelena winery there's a little gazebo overlooking a mini-lake, with lots of trees and plants in the gardens. That would be a very nice spot.

How about the gondola at Sterling Vineyards. Spectacular view, just the two of you in the gondola...maybe take the tour and tasting and propose on the way down. Then dinner perhaps at Auberge? LMF
