ZZ Top

Anything and everything

I'm also partial to CCR on roadtrips as well.

For a true country twist, I have to admit I really enjoy Dwight Yoakam - especially "Streets of Bakersfield" and "Guitars, Cadillacs."

Fun thread!

"Life is a Highway," Rascall Flatts - even my 3 year old son loves it, since it's from Pixar's "Cars."

Good thread - DH is getting tired of my "Summer of '69" by Bryan Adams, so I need a new trip CD soon, too.

Thanks everyone! What a great list. I want to add "Hit the Road Jack" and(I think this is the title) "I've Been Everywhere, Man" by Johnny Cash
"I've been to Reno, Fargo, Minnesota, Buffalo....."
I was especially looking for fun songs for the kids.
I hope this list will help some others pass the miles too.

* Where are we running? - Lenny Kratvitz
* Going Mobile - The Who
* Life is a Highway - Tom Cochrane's biggest solo hit after leaving Red Rider.
* 8 days on the road - Foghat
* Road Rash - Alice Cooper
* Rolling down the highway - BTO

If these songs are for the family, you can edit with a free audio editor and recorder such as 'Audacity'. e.g., Alice's song has the line, "all our cash spent on whites and wine".

Road Rats, not Road Rash.
"Road rats, we're a pack, and the road's our home."
