Help on my Honeymoon
I am getting married on June 8th and I am planning our honeymoon to Washington D.C. We plan to spend three days in D.C. and then drive over to Williamsburg and go to Busch Gardens (we're amusement park fans). I have been to Washington twice, but my fiance has never been there. My list of places to see are:
Air and Space
Natural History
American History
National Gallery (a must!)
Capitol
Monuments around the mall
I've heard the FBI building is closed. Is this true?
We are also thinking of going to Six Flags. Any opinions?
I would like some tips on viewing the city and making the most of our time. We only have three days in the city and I'd like to see as much as possible. I would also like a recomendation for a romantic restaraunt of place to go.
Thanks in advance,
Julie

Make sure to go to The Hotel Washington roof top bar one evening for drinks and to watch the sunset.
I wouldn't waste my time on Six Flags, if you want to get another amusement park in, stop at Kings Dominion on your way to Williamsburg, it's a much nicer park.

Call your congressperson right away and ask for VIP tours! We are going in june and through our congressman's office we have arranged for a tour of:the capitol, the library of congress, the bureau of engraving and printing and the FBI. They also offered a tour of the supreme court but we declined as it did not sound like it would hold my children's interest. Having these tours arranged ahead of time saves all the waiting in lines too. Also, you can buy timed tickets for the Washington Monument on line. Tickets are free but it is $1.50 each to order them ahead of time. Well worth it in my book! Go to the NPS website to buy these.
Hope this helps
