HELP! Motorhome rental for Glacier National Park

My husband, 3 sons, and I are planning a return trip to Glacier National Park in late July. I have scoured the web for RV rentals in and around cities near Glacier National Park and have come up with nothing. Our last trip we rented a 25' in Minneapolis and did a big loop through South Dakota/Wyoming/Montana but we don't have as much time this year so would like to fly into Great Falls, MT and pick something up near there. Any suggestions would be welcome! We are also considering flying into Calgary, but can't find RV rentals there either. HELP!!!

is Spokane a possibility? I mean, if you’re willing to go to Calgary...

Spokane is a large hub for the region. Great Falls is not a big place.

what’s the issue exactly? You found rentals but they aren’t the kind you want? Everyone is sold out for your dates? Or you can’t find any companies at all? Because the last seems strange to me, esp. with Calgary.

Thanks much for the quick help - yes Spokane could work but I couldn't find one. What seems to be the issue is finding a SMALL RV - 25' or less so it will fit in the campgrounds at places like Many Glacier and Waterton Lakes.

What very small inventory that exists seems booked up already - I'm curious if people know of good private owner RV rental sites.

Thanks,
Christine

I see. While I hope you find something, my guess is that you’ve just started to look a bit late. Do you have your campsites booked? Because I would be worried about those at this point if you don’t.

Would tent camping be a possible back up plan?

Thanks much for the ideas - we have decided to go with tent camping and lodges vs an RV - thankfully we already have our campground sites!

You may want to keep in mind that the Going to the Sun Road (which connects the east and west sides of the park) and is one of the most scenic drives in the county, has size limitations on vehicles that are allowed on that road: Going-to-the-Sun Road in Glacier National Park
