Help from Manhattan wine afficianados please!
My husband just told me last night how he would love to take one of those wine appreciation classes in the city as a Christmas gift. I know there was an article a while back in both the NY Times and Wine Spectator but I didn't save them and don't know where to start. I already did searches on the internet but no luck. I think Lisa said she had an interest in wines so Lisa, if you're out there can you help? Thanks, I'm kind of in a hurry!

Well, that was fast. Couldn't get any info on WOW but just got off the phone with Vintage NY. They have a series of 4 classes for just $ 99 a person. I'll probably go with him. The classes are from 6:30 - 8:00 so where could we go to dinner afterwards? It is on Broome Street in SOHO so I need some suggestions. Thanks again.

Curious~~Sorry-I forgot while focusing on shopping rather than eating for a minute there! On Broadway is a place called Novocento, it is Brazilian, very good food, good atmosphere, great waiters, the music is good and the waiters usually hum along and dance when not serving..charming.Then there is a nice French bistro, and a place called Diva.I have not eaten at Diva yet, they always have a crowd and it seems to be popular..then there is the Cupping Room, Barolla, then on Prince there is Quilty's,Il Corallo, The Cub Room, and a wonderful French place that is romantic and so French! called Provence...which is off Prince on McDougal -that is all that I can think of now, time for bed~Enjoy

Thanks for the tips Candice! I'm serious, if you decide to go, give me a holler here and we'll meet. I do love to shop, it's my second worse addiction! I was also thinking of doing the Monday night wine dinner at Morrell. It sounds fun. Let me know if you decide to go. - Cheri
