Helicopter Kauai?

Going to Kauai in early November. Is a helicopter tour of the island worth the big bucks (about $300 each for 60 minutes)? Thanks!

It is absolutely worth it, especially for your first time in Kauai. I have been twice and did a heli tour each time, if that tells you anything. So much of the island is inaccessible by road - this is the only way to really appreciate the scope of its beauty. And even if you see the Na Pali Coast by foot or by boat, seeing it from the air is spectacular.

I have plans to do this in October. Comes very highly recommended. I am excited. And YES! worth it. Seeing Kauai by air is amazing. I have done a helicopter in the past.

I'm too scared to do it, but I've never heard anything but raves.

We are all different. I have no interest in doing a helicopter tour. I find the noise of the copters to be intrusive and obnoxious and would not want to be a resident where they offer such tours. Also, I'd rather see the scenery at ground level. I know people who thought it was the highlight of their trip, however. So consider what you enjoy and make your decision based on that - none of us can tell you whether you would enjoy this or not.

I've done this twice, the first trip was "Wow", the second trip was not so good mainly because we had a pilot who talked very little about where we were and what we were seeing. My favorite part weather permitting is flying into the crater and seeing all the waterfalls.

My tour wasn't an hour. I'm not sure I'd want the ride to last that long. It was interesting. The scenes are gorgeous. I'm sure I didn't pay $300.
