Hawaii - Priceline - How much to bid?

On the possibility this is a legitimate query --- (P.S. to Troll Buster, usually 'trolls' post inflammatory topics - this is a benign run of the mill travel question).
SO, first I'd suggest that you do some research on what hotels cost in the locations that you're seeking for that particular time frame. I'm not familiar with Hawaii hotels, per se, but can always start with several of the generic search engines (Travelocity, Hotel Discounts, Smarter Living).
Also while you're in Smarter Living, make sure to sign up for one of their newsletters. They regularly offer additional amts (right now, an extra $35) which they'll tack on to your bid when you submit your request to Priceline.
Once you've established what the 'standard' price is, I'd knock off 40% of that amount & start your bidding process.

Just a note for the Troll Buster.
What a nice thing to say to someone who regularly answers questions for others on this forum. I do plenty of research before I post questions on the site. It's too bad you don't like the ones I'd like to get responses to.
Ross.
