Haunted Halloween Fall Vacation Ideas
Bucket List item - Since my favorite time of year is Fall & my favorite holiday is Halloween, I would like to plan a Fall vacation that includes spooky places/activities/lodging. Interesting historical areas as well as haunted houses or tours, Fall festivals, etc. would be of interest. Any suggestions for a place to visit in your area?

NY on the Hudson has a lot of autumnal cheer and historic places and graveyards. There's a big pumpkin festival, Sleepy Hallow and countless places to explore.
I find Salem Ma to be a bit cliche, touristy with not enough green space, but it does have its charms.
