Has anyone stayed at the Marriott Bay Point in PCB?

I got a room for 60. a night through priceline. Does anyone have any info? I have been to their website, but not alot there. It sounds nice, but I was just wondering if anyone had any first hand experience. Thanks , Daph

I give up....what's PCB stand for? I know it's an insecticide, but doubt that's it.

If PCB stands for Panama City Beach, Marriott Bay Point is not on the beach. It is in the Bay, but has its own small private beach. Great place for golfers.

PCB?? All that came to mind, and what Red may have been referring to, were those things that got dumped in the Housatonic River in the 40's and 50's by my Dad's employer, who shall remain nameless in interest of stock everywhere, and resulted in that being a possible SuperFund site. Polychlorinated Biphenyls, a bi-product of the power transformer lab. Panama City Beach has a much nicer ring to it. And, hopefully no PCBs in PCB!

Don't know about the hotel. Usually Marriotts are, at worst, very acceptable, so I have no doubt this one is also. I believe it is newly remodeled, so that's a point in its favor. However, I ate one of the worst dinners I have ever had there. Service was TERRIBLE, there is no other word for it. Some of the food was OK, but some was very bad--like a steak that was well done (I asked for extra rare) and couldn't be cut with the steak knife. Before I tasted it, I asked for a glass of wine. I never saw the waiter again, no wine and couldn't complain about the food. Plus he didn't bring the steak sauce I requested when I ordered the steak. I finally caught the manager's eye and complained to him. He did give me my dinner free, but, since I couldn't eat anything but the salad, that was the least he could have done. I'd just stay away from the restaurant and have fun with a great price in the hotel.
