Has anyone stayed at the Four Seasons on Maui?

Is this hotel first class or not? Tell me about your stay. What time of year, etc.

We didn't stay in the hotel (but in a condo up the beach), however our meetings took place at the Four Seasons. Wow, is it ever first class. Gorgeous grounds and spectacular decor and service. Can't speak for the sleeping rooms, but every other Four Seasons I've ever used was 5 star. I think you'll be happy.

If you're going to Wailea, there is no where else to stay--the Four Seasons is simply the best. If you're going to Hana, see the messages above.

Stayed at the Wailea Four Seasons in May 1998. Definitely a first class resort. I agree with previous post that grounds are beautiful. Rooms were nice, especially the large bathrooms. Also have stayed at the Four Seasons on the Big Island. That is definitely a must visit.

We stayed at the Four Seasons in February (unfortunately it was about 8 years ago!). The rooms are very nice, as mentioned the bathrooms are huge with marble tubs. The grounds were beautiful and the people were very nice. As we layed around the pool they came by and sprayed you with Evian water and offered you ice towels. There is also a small beach near the pool area. For all that it's worth, Elton John was checking in as we checked out.

The Four Season on Maui is a lovely hotel - but very large and good for high maintenance guests who demand top quality service. The beach is great with private beach chaises. If you are set on Wailea, it is the best place to stay.
