You really need to re-post w/ a better title. "Has ANYONE Been Here Lately?" maye be cute (?) but doesn't tell anyone what you are asking about.

Having passed through the Anza-Borrego Desert several times, we were were eager to stay there. However, we were very disappointed wherever we eventually stayed and we didn't see any place that we wished we had stayed.
Suggestion: If possible, go when the desert is in bloom.
