Happy Anniversary Scarlett, Yankie and of course Pup. Since it is dinnertime here on the West Coast, I am sure you are enjoying your evening with your chocolates, champagne, silk underwear and all your other gifts! Congratulations to you both.

WOW..all I can think to say is Wow..
You are all so nice and sweet!
The Yankee and I are just back from dinner. As usual, nothing is typical, except that everything is an adventure.
We got in the car and it would not start, dead battery we think. We went across the street to ask our neighbor who works for the car dealership (same as our car) and asked if we could get help this late in the day- he said not until Monday.
Then he gave us his car for the night.
We have not lived here long, we have only talked to them maybe 3 times.
I am so blown away by the kindness and trust of strangers ~
We got to the restaurant only 5 minutes late and it was packed! Busy and noisy . They sat us and gave us champagne as a Happy Anniversary gift with a card
Dinner was fantastic, the wine was too...she writes in a haze of Pinot Noir...and the warm Belgian chocolate cake with ice cream was not bad either!
The Yankee did give me a piece of jewelry, OWJ!! and vowed to keep me around for another 34 years..ooops, gave away some important numbers there..sigh, it is all the wine they plied me with. I will regret it in the morning~
Thank you all for the good wishes..I am happy to share my happiness with so many lovely people.
Now I will go lie down, I cannot feel my nose.
Pup send his thanks too, he did not , however , get to go out to dinner.

and on her next anniversary, methinks she will be posting from a different place...
Best of luck to you both. I just made it before the stroke of midnight. We've been at this marriage thing for just 19 yrs. It's hard work. I'm happy to hear that you are still enjoying it.

Congrats to you and your Yankee, Scarlett. A 34 year anniversary is a real accomplishment, especially in today's world, and I'm very happy for you both!
Also sounds like the perfect night! Hope you have Advil handy for tomorrow am!

Scarlett, I'll pass along a sentiment that my wife expressed to me on our 20th anniversary. Considering the 34 years you've been married, it's apparent that you and the Yank have gotten off to a pretty good start on your relationship.
By the way, I can't begin to tell you how comforting it is to know that you and the Yankee have a pup for a pet rather than a female rabbit. Otherwise, I'd be concerned that you would be compelled to name the rabbit Scarlett O'Hare.

Thank you Jed, thank you mclaurie, thank you GT~
I think after you hit a certain amount of years, that one day/night is not sufficient for celebrating.
So my decree is
after 20 years-you get 2 days of celebrating..
after 30-you get 4 days..
after 40- you get a week
and
after 50 - if you are so lucky ( to be alive or to remember who he is) then you celebrate for a month
So we will be celebrating for a couple more days~

Scarlett, sounds like you had a wonderful anniversary celebration so far...why stop celebrating?
With minor exceptions, every day with my DH is worthy of celebration...after 11+ years together we finally got married 1.5 years ago! That'll make me alot older than you when we celebrate our 34th!
Hope all your years to come are wonderful too!
