handouts along the way in Yellowstone

I just found a Yellowstone Park Service Newspaper which I am going to save to my documents on my laptop. It has a wealth of information. Surely we will get information when we enter the park, won't we. I've never vacationed anywhere that we didn't get tons of brochures etc everywhere we went. Since we are going the first week of June when a lot of the eating places it looks like won't even be open, will there be information letting me know what is opened and what is not. I've also tried to write down as much of that information as I can find. I even saved some of the menus to my laptop.

Yes, you are given a park "newspaper" when you enter the park listing that kind of information.

Yes, that is what I've been looking at on line but I didn't know if I really needed to print off the whole thing. I tried to save it but it was too big, I guess...so I copied off a few of the program information. I figured there would be some current freebie stuff there.

lindagj, www.nps.gov/yell has a a complete list of opening and closing dates. We were there in early June last year, and pretty much everything was open except lodging at Tower/Roosevelt.

You will get the newspaper and good maps when you enter the park--as you will in nearly all national parks. The visitor center will have even more info--some free and lots of books for sale.
