Does anyone happen to know of a good Hairdresser within walking distance of the St. Francis Hotel - any information would be gratefully received.

Yosh for Hair is on Maiden Lane, easy walk from the St. Francis. It's very good and very trendy (there's another in Palo Alto that I go to) You'll need to call for an appointment well ahead---maybe as soon as you arrive in the States or perhaps your concierge at the St. Francis can do it for you. I love 77 Maiden Lane Salon and Spa. Very hip and trendy salon, voted top in color in allure last year.

I had my haircut by Jean Paul (he is great at working with pictures) and I've also had highlights there too. JP charges $55. He only works on Saturday's though.

PS. I have straight fine hair btw.

I like 77 Maiden Lane as well. They also do great make-up. I had hair and make-up done before my wedding and was very pleased.
