I just want to warn you before your daughter gets them that it is possible to lose a significant amount of hair when they are removed. Hair extensions need to be pre ordered to match your hair type and they can cost upwards of $500. And then another few hundred to have them removed. Also the process will take a few hours to put in as well as take out. Just wanted to make sure you knew this beforehand

My sister has figured out how to do temporary weaves. She was always a great french braid'er' and she just several real tight tiny braids, sideways across the head at 3 different levels. They are hidden under your hair.
We went to a beauty supply place that sells real hair and spent about 15.00 on natural hair the length and color my daughter wanted.
She just sewed it onto the braids and it lasted about 3 days... even with gentle washing and styling.
Very cool and my daughter just gets such a kick out of it.
I wonder if there are any salons that do this more temporary kind of weaves?
It did not damage her hair and the hair pieces used could be used over and over again.

I am a long ways from being an authority on this but there are a lot of good salons here that I am sure would do them. All of the major resorts have salons, like La Quinta, Marriott Desert Springs, Esmeralda, Hyatt Grand Champions, etc. There are also day spas like Loran Loran in Palm Desert that probably do it.
