Maybe you could fly into Destin, get a shuttle from the airport to Sandestin, staying at a condo on the beach there? There is a shuttle that travels all over the Sandestin property that could take you over to Baytowne, where you would have access to plenty of restaurants, shops, etc. I feel certain there is a nightlife element there -- plenty of live music and adult drinks to be had, for sure...you can look it up and see if it is the pace you are looking for. The beaches of Destin are amazing -- be sure to book a beachfront property.
