Great San Francisco Tours?

I am going this week to San Francisco with my husband, who has never been there. We definitely plan on doing one of the walking tours of various neighborhoods. Are there any other great tours--I'm trying to avoid the generic bus ride tour; but, I would like to have a more general tour of the main highlights. Thanks!

Make sure to do the Alcatraz tour. As far as other tours, check with your hotel, they should be able to give you suggestions for other tours.

If you are doing Alcatraz, be sure to book your tickets ahead of time as it does sell out.

We were very pleased with our allaboutchinatown.com tour - it was fantastic. Linda Lee, the owner, was our guide and she was raised in Chinatown so we really got an insider view. She was very open to all of our questions.

There is a walking "tour" called Barbary Coast - you get a map of the city at the Visitor's beaureau with the path on it, and do it at your own speed.

Also, what about a boat trip over to Saulsilito?
